The game takes place across a series of tiny islands, which the you defend against the onslaught of Viking invaders. As you progress, you prove your worth to the other noble houses and recruit them to your cause. Each noble controls a squad of fighters, who start off as simple militia, but can be upgraded to a number of specialities.
